Sister Act
Long holidays are not an option for the moment, but weekends are. For just two days I spent a lovely weekend in Liège, a city in the french-speaking part of Belgium. I was surprised by the historic buildings, nice weather and vibrant atmosphere!

Brasil in Belgium
Always nice to have visitors in my home, especially when you have met them while travelling on the other side of our little globe. This holidays I guided Grazielle around in Belgium and the Netherlands. From Brussel, to Gent, Brugge, Roeselare, Oostende, Leffinge, Antwerpen, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Or from the museum of fines arts in Brussels, to Andy Warhol in Amsterdam and Surrealism in Rotterdam. Or from home made dinners, to seafood, junkfood, pancakes, waffles and champagne. And always the same result: I miss being on the road, the travelling and the discovering of other cultures!
Madrid
It's becoming a tradition to celebrate christmas in another european city! This year we went to Madrid. So tapas, cava, and a lot of cultural life! Maybe I should following these spanish courses, but yes when should I find the time...

Back in Belgium
After 3 weeks of travelling, I'm back in Belgium. It was nice, it was great, it was... but most of all I want more of it :))) Thanks a lot to my hosts Fito, Thayse, the Big House crew (Anderson, Ricardo and Daniel), Renan, Rodrigo and Sheila for make me feeling at home and giving me the local insight that I'm searching for when travelling! Thanks a lot to all the other people that I met along the way, it made my trip wonderful!
Muchas Gracias-Muito Obrigada
So now back to reality! Working, househunting, family and friends...
Stay tuned!

Buenos Aires
Before flying back to Europe it was time to visit Buenos Aires. Well I was just blown away by it, after a while I decided not to take pictures anymore as it was too difficult to choose what to capture first :)) The city has a nice mixture of an european and a south-american feeling, with a nice atmosphere as result. From the nice bars and restaurants in Palermo, the several museums (with MALBA a must see), the renovated Puerto Madero, the medialunas (croissants) as breakfast, the fairs in San Telmo, the argentinian design and fashion, the tango classes in every traditional cafe,... Four days were totally not enough to see it all, so yes I have to go back :)))

Curitiba
After Florianopolis I went to Curitiba. Two years ago my visit to this city was limited due to rain, so I decided to give it a second try! I spend some lovely days in Curitiba with my incredible hosts Rodrigo and Sheila! I could stay in their traditional wooden house, they drove me around the whole city, gave me a lot of local insight but especially a lot of brazilian hospitality!! Even it was raining like hell again, it was just a pleasure to discover it all! From the Italian quarter Santa Felicidade, the traintrip to Morretes through the atlantic forest, the churrasceria, the hundred of parks around the city, the sambaclub, to the street XV de Novembre,...

Florianopolis
After Blumenau Tuba (the IAESTE-student that is now working at the office of Junge&Belli) and I headed south to Florianópolis and the island of Santa Catarina. Famous for its 42 beaches spread around the island. First we explored the downtown together with our host Renan, before heading to some beaches in the north of the island.

Blumenau
After 2 years, I finally made it back to Blumenau! Very nice to see my former roommates, colleguaes and friends back. At the same time I could meet the new IAESTE-student in the office, Tuba. My days were filled with having lunch, eating cakes, evening meetings at the big house and the planning of the rest of my trip!
